GETTING A STUDY VISA TO BELARUS

 

Getting a student visa to Belarus is not so difficult. The Visa process is always very easy and you can hardly be refused a study visa, except you are not a real student. Below are the general Belarussian Embassy requirements for most countries.

  1. After the documents are submitted by an applicant the University expertizes them and makes decision on will send the applicant the Official Letter of Invitation.

  2. The Official Letter of Invitation is directed to the applicant for admission.

  3. The applicant obtains the Study Visa in the Belarusian Embassy in the country he lives.

  4. If the applicant is from the country with no Belarusian Embassy he/she will get the Study Visa at the Embassy Department of National Airport in Minsk when arriving. In this case the presence of the official representative from the university is obligatory. 

Finally, please note that there is a visa-free regime is provided for the citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cuba (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia (provided that there is a private invitation or tourist voucher), Moldova, Mongolia (provided that there is a private invitation or tourist document), Montenegro (for a term not exceeding 30 days provided that there is a private invitation or tourist voucher), Qatar (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Russia, Serbia (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela (for a term not exceeding 90 days).

  • Visas, normally, shall be issued within 5 business days. This vaires from country to country. Please contact the Belarus Embassy in your country for more information.

  • Express visas can be issued within 48 hours. This vaires from country to country. Please contact the Belarus Embassy in your country for more information.

  • After arriving to Belarus foreign citizens must report in 5 business days the information about the address and duration of their stay to the local Passport and Visa Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and have registration put in passport.This will be arranged by the University staff as there is always assistance of this sort in all Belarusian universities.
